Upon arriving on the sunny Greek island, it was immediately clear to me that there are lots of brunch restaurants in Santorini. On my short walk from the Fira bus station to my hotel, I passed 2 of the brunch places on this list, and that was on just one side street. After thinking a bit more, this made sense. Santorini is popular with American tourists, and Americans particularly love brunch. So why wouldn’t there be a ton of spots for breakfast & brunch in Santorini?

Given how many Santorini restaurants offer excellent brunches, you may actually want to skip including your morning meal with your Santorini hotel booking. Or just have a second breakfast. No judgment here. Here are 12 great places for brunch in Santorini, including options in Fira, Oia, Kamari, and more.

The Best Breakfast & Brunch Restaurants in Santorini

Eggomio

The unassuming Eggomio offers all-day brunches with fresh local ingredients, including organic eggs. In case you hadn’t guessed by the name, they’re truly egg lovers. To hammer home the point, their WiFi password is “iloveegg”. The restaurant’s wall has been signed by visitors who can attest that this is one of the best places to eat in Santorini.

The Eggomio menu has plenty of egg dishes, from the expected omelettes, scrambled eggs, and fried eggs to traditional Greek egg dishes. The “Aegean Delight”, with fried eggs, tomato sauce, and feta, looks particularly delicious.

In addition to eggs, they also serve classics like pancakes and waffles, with a variety of sweet and savory options, plus coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, and yogurt. The thick and fluffy pancakes have just the right amount of crispness for texture. For those looking for more of a lunch, they offer pizza and salads.

Eggomio isn’t the fanciest place for brunch in Santorini. However, their food not only is some of the best around, but you also don’t have to pay extra for fancy views. Sit on the front patio with a relaxing coffee & breakfast and watch everyone else in a hurry go by.

V Lounge Cafe & Cocktail Bar

One of the reasons why brunches are so popular in Santorini is the prospect of starting your day out with caldera views. Many visitors pay a premium to stay in caldera view hotels, but you can get those same views at hotel restaurants like the V Lounge Cafe & Cocktail Bar, which is located on top of the Panorama Suites.

The Santorini cocktail bar & restaurant offers indoor & outdoor seating, with the patio featuring loveseats. The patio has gorgeous views of the caldera and the cable car below.

Menu highlights include the continental baker’s basket, egg benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, and brioche French toast.

Galini Cafe

The Galini Cafe is located at the Hotel Galini, a hotel with caldera views in Firostefani.

The menu features a variety of benedicts and omelettes, plus superfood bowls, Greek yogurt, and brioche French toast. However, it’s the Dutch babies that are their unique specialty.

I had the lemon cream Dutch baby, which not only was delicious, but I also realized it’s kind of shaped like the caldera. That’s great synergy.

Tholoto Brunch & Restaurant

Tholoto Brunch & Restaurant is well-regarded for dinners, but they also offer a smaller but quality brunch menu.

Their salmon benedict is excellent. They also offer a sweet & savory brunch combo for two people.

With views toward the east across the water from both the outside patio & the indoor space, Tholoto is a relaxing place to start your day in Santorini.

Magma City Cafe

Magma City Cafe is the closest brunch restaurant to the main Santorini bus station in Fira. As such, it’s a good place to eat before heading out to the other parts of the island.

There’s an indoor space, but most people opt for the huge outdoor patio, which has TVs showing football matches during the afternoons & evenings, as well as a children’s play area.

Magma City Cafe offers three themed breakfasts (slim, continental, and American), along with Greek yogurt, omelettes, and other brunch dishes, plus burgers, sandwiches, and salads later in the day.

The highlight is their pancake menu, which offers both sweet and savory options. The savory pancakes include Greek flavors & ingredients, while the sweet pancakes are sugar bombs such as the Oreo. You’re on vacation, so you might as well enjoy yourself.

Svoronos Bakery Φούρνος Σβορώνος

Sometimes, you might need to have food on the go if you’re rushing to catch a bus or tour. Svoronos Bakery is the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast in Santorini.

The bakery is great any time of day, but stop by in the morning for the freshest pastries and pies, such as spanakopita. In the center of the space, you’ll find a massive display filled with various types of baklava and other Greek desserts.

Svoronos Bakery is listed as being open 24 hours a day, but this might not necessarily be the case, depending on the season. For another quick Santorini brunch option on the go, head to nearby Creme De La Crêpe for sweet & savory crepes or Koulourades, which serves Greek bagels and other baked treats.

The Finch

The Finch is the top place for brunch in Kamari. With an airy open space that’s fully covered, it serves great food & drinks all day long. Brunch is available quite late in the day, until 3 pm. Later, The Finch turns into a cocktail bar that features house barrel-aged negronis.

The brunch menu is stellar, especially if you enjoy pancakes. Not only does The Finch have a wide variety of pancakes, they even offer a sharing platter for two that comes with 12 mini pancakes. The Kataifi pancakes sound especially interesting.

I couldn’t pass up the Greek shakshuka – eggs in tomato sauce and feta cheese. Tip: order extra bread, as you’ll want it to get the most out of all the eggy & saucy goodness.

graffiti MUSIC CAFE

graffiti MUSIC CAFE is a great place for brunch in Karterados, a small village not far from Fira. In fact, you can actually walk there. It’s a bright & spacious local spot that’s off the tourist radar. At night, Graffiti turns into a music & cocktail venue. The Home All Day Cafe across the street is another nearby brunch option.

The menu has omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and more. Based on photos in other reviews, there may also be a massive breakfast platter, though I didn’t spot that on the current menu. I opted for the croque madame, along with the best iced latte I had in Santorini.

Pink Sophia Maria

One of the most popular things to do in Santorini is the hike from Fira to Oia. Just north of Fira is the town of Imerovigli, which has a couple of good places for brunch.

Pink Sophia Maria is the first one you encounter while walking from the south, making it a nice option if you’ve set off early and want to break up the hike. The restaurant specializes in eggs (including Greek options), pancakes, sandwiches, Greek yogurt, and more.

Confetti Dessert Boutique Santorini

The Confetti Dessert Boutique Santorini is also located in Imerovigli. Only open seasonally, it’s one of the most popular places for brunch in Santorini (& for desserts, of course!).

The menu includes eggs, smoothie bowls, bagels, & more, including vegan dishes. For those looking for some sweets, the Santorini bakery makes macarons, chocolates, gelato, and even custom cakes.

KooKoo Bar

The best brunch in Oia can be found at KooKoo Bar. This lovely cafe with a greenery theme is a welcome oasis in one of the busiest parts of Santorini.

The Greek waffles are excellent, featuring Greek yogurt, forest fruits, crumbled biscuits, and Greek honey.

Best of all, their brunch is served all day long. So if you’ve finished the Fira to Oia hike, or even if you’re just a big fan of eating breakfast for dinner, Kookoo Bar is the place to go. It’s a cocktail bar too, so go nuts.

Pelican Kipos

Pelican Kipos is a centrally-located restaurant in Fira with a spacious partially covered patio & garden.

In addition to serving excellent dinners, wine (their 400-year-old wine cave with its hundreds of wines is not to be missed), and craft beer, they serve waffles, egg dishes, & more in the mornings.
