Faro is a city that sits on the coast of the Algarve in Portugal. It sits on the Ria Formosa lagoon, so naturally fishing is one of the key industries of the town. While not a huge city, it’s a nice place to visit. I visited on a day trip from Sevilla, Spain.
The day had started off foggy thanks to the proximity of the water, but it had started to clear by this point. This photo was taken from the top of Faro Cathedral. It’s a small building compared to other cathedrals in Europe, but still has nice views over the older areas of Faro. I liked how the cobblestone streets and sidewalks formed a mosaic that loops around a lone orange tree that grows in the island of the street.
