alcazaba malaga spain 700x933

The Alcazaba of Malaga, Spain is a fortification that sits above the city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. While not as outwardly picturesque as some other Moorish citadels & palaces such as La Alhambra, the Alcazaba is still an imposing sight, even if large parts of it have not been completely preserved. The views of Malaga from the walls of the complex are breathtaking.

I was taking this photo of the outer walls of the Alcazaba from below when a bird flew right overhead, allowing me to capture it with one of the few small, wispy clouds behind it. This photo was taken in the dead of winter, but on the Costa del Sol of the Mediterranean, the winter isn’t dead at all, as evidenced by the flowers clinging to the walls of the building.
