Since I was flying in business class, I had access to the Lufthansa Welcome Lounge.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike some airlines, Lufthansa promoted the existence of their Welcome Lounge prominently inside the business class menus for the flight. Despite that, it still wasn&#8217;t crowded at all. The Lufthansa Welcome Lounge in <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Frankfurt\" href=\"https:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/travel-guides\/europe\/germany\/frankfurt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Frankfurt<\/a> is located behind the baggage claim in Arrivals Area B.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12726\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-sign-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Lufthansa Welcome Lounge in Frankfurt is open from 5am to 12:30pm. My flight landed at 11:15am, so I didn&#8217;t have much time to visit the lounge. By the time I made it through immigration &amp; customs, I had about 45 minutes inside. I&#8217;ve noticed that early closing times are fairly common with welcome lounges. I realize they can&#8217;t stay open all day, but it would be nice to be able to relax a little bit longer upon arrival.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12727\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-entrance-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That said, when I arrived the Welcome Lounge was nearly empty, so it&#8217;s not as if Lufthansa is upsetting a lot of people by not staying open later. It did gradually get a little bit more busy as I was there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12728\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first thing I did upon arriving was get a shower room. Since it was empty in the lounge, there was no wait. The showers are located downstairs from the main part of the lounge. They were actually one of the nicer airport shower rooms I&#8217;ve been in. It&#8217;s always nice to start a day off fresh, especially when you still have a couple of flights left.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12729\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-showers-700x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12730\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-bathroom-700x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After showering, I went back upstairs to get a hot breakfast. Despite being scheduled to close in 20 minutes, Lufthansa still had tons of hot food out in the Welcome Lounge. It&#8217;s nice that they keep it replenished even when there&#8217;s not much time left. Perhaps they stay open a bit longer than the scheduled time if people are still around.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12731\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-dining-room-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were eggs, bacon, beans, hash browns, meats, cheeses, bread, and fruit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12732\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-breakfast-700x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12733\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-meat-cheese-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12734\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-food-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12735\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-bread-700x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was also beer &amp; wine, should you want a drink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12736\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-beer-wine-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12737\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-drinks-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most of the space was devoted to the dining area, which makes sense. Few people would be going there for an extended period, unless they have a connecting flight.<\/p>\n<p>The Lufthansa Welcome Lounge had a couple of other rooms as well. There was a business center, as well as a nap room. The nap room could be nice if you had a long layover, though it depends on how your schedule aligns with Lufthansa&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12738\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-business-center-700x525.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12739\" src=\"http:\/\/everybodyhatesatourist.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/lufthansa-welcome-lounge-frankfurt-airport-nap-room-700x933.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"933\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Frankfurt Lufthansa Welcome Lounge is a solid place to start your trip to Europe. It&#8217;s a bit dark since it doesn&#8217;t have any windows, but it has the most important things you&#8217;ll need. You can get a hot shower, some caffeine, and a hot breakfast. If you have time to spare during a connection in Frankfurt, it&#8217;s worth stopping in before continuing your day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After my Lufthansa flight from Denver to Frankfurt, I had plenty of time before my next flight.
