Flight delayed due to amorous lizards

First off, we can’t have a story like this without setting some music, so let’s put The Beatles on.

There we go, now we’ve got the mood set.

A flight in Saudi Arabia was delayed earlier this week after an alert passenger noticed that there were lizards mating on the runway. The pilot was notified, and he delayed the take-off, instead notifying airport police so they could shoo the lizards away.

The passenger who spotted the horny lizards (I believe that is their official scientific name) also shot a brief video & posted it to Twitter & YouTube.

The flight wasn’t delayed for too long. No word on if the lizard love-making resumed as well.
