Air New Zealand releases rugby & Men In Black-themed safety video

The Rugby World Cup 2015 will be starting in England in September, and in celebration, Air New Zealand has released a rugby-themed inflight safety video featuring New Zealand’s famed All Blacks rugby squad.

When I first heard that Air New Zealand had themed their video around “Men In Black” I was confused, since it’s not exactly a modern pop culture reference, but it all made sense once I realized the rugby tie-in.

Watch the video below:

Plenty of rugby stars feature in the video starring musician Stan Walker, including the All Blacks’ Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Israel Dagg, Keven Mealamu, Kieran Read, Sam Whitelock, and coach Steve Hansen. Other rugby stars past and present also appear, including David Campese, Martin Johnson and Agustin Pichot. Original “Men In Black” stars Rip Torn and Frank the Pug also make appearances.

As a bonus promotion for the video and the Rugby World Cup, Air New Zealand is also giving away two flights from Los Angeles to London. Click here to enter the contest.

Here are some of Air New Zealand’s other recent inflight safety videos:

Which is your favorite? I’m partial to the Hobbit ones, but this new one is actually much better than I expected it to be.
