It’s a been a while since Air New Zealand has released a new inflight safety video. The airline is famous for their creative videos that usually feature celebrities & different themes.
The theme of this new inflight safety video is “Safety In Hollywood”, and it stars New Zealand’s own Rhys Darby, along with Anna Faris. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re both funny. Darby was part of “Flight of the Conchords”, and is also frequently on Comedy Central’s “@Midnight”, while you may know Faris from “Scary Movie”, “Mom”, or her excellent podcast, “Anna Faris is Unqualified“.
While not everyone is into these funny inflight safety videos, I find them to be more attention-getting than the routine videos that I always tune out because I know how to put on a seatbelt. This one in particular does a good job of getting your attention just before an instruction is given, plus it somehow manages to have entertaining interludes in between the instructions without being as lengthy as some videos. Good job once again, Air New Zealand!
