Air New Zealand releases latest Hobbit-themed inflight safety video

Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” & “The Hobbit” trilogies have been great for tourism in New Zealand. Air New Zealand has released one more film of their own, another inflight safety video with a Middle Earth theme.

The safety video features actor Elijah Wood, who starred as Frodo Baggins in “The Lord of the Rings”, as well as Peter Jackson, the director of both trilogies.

As far as safety videos go, this is the most entertaining one I’ve seen. Virgin America’s latest video is catchy, but it drags on unnecessarily long. The last time I was on a Virgin flight, I missed the last 2 minutes of a close Thursday night football game because they were singing on and on about seatbelts.

If you missed the previous safety video from Air New Zealand, here it is below:

Now I really want to go to New Zealand, not that I didn’t before. I guess that’s the whole point. Well done, Air New Zealand!
