Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor service is a pleasant way to get from the Bay Area to Sacramento. It’s a nice option for avoiding the traffic to and from San Francisco on Interstate 80, taking about two hours.
Aside from all the refineries lining the water, the views of San Francisco Bay and the Delta region can’t be beat. It’s a shame those couldn’t have been built somewhere less picturesque.
