An American Airlines flight from Dallas to Chicago was sent back to its gate earlier today after a flight attendant lost it and started yelling on the intercom that the plane was going to crash.

According to Joe Tone of the Dallas Observer:

“We are not taking off,” she said, according to the passengers. “We’re having technical difficulties. We are heading back to the gate.”

Another flight attendant came on and assured the passengers: Yes, actually, we are taking
